LifeScience.TV provides an exciting new information channel broadcast across the UK and USA. The channel is displayed through an extensive network of Internet enabled screens mounted on NewsStands in key life science university departments and research institutes.

  • A novel and exciting way of receiving information about the latest research products & services
  • Reduces the waste associated with unwanted direct mail
  • Provides suppliers with a more efficient way to deliver their marketing message
  • Add your own content to the LifeScience.TV screen in your department
  • Submit content for distribution throughout the LifeScience.TV network across the UK and USA
  • Generate additional revenue for your department

Showcase your Research on LifeScience.TV

You can easily add your own content to the LifeScience.TV channel on your NewsStand. Some departments use this feature to showcase their research projects to staff and visitors. You could also advertise forthcoming research seminars or social events in the department.

You can also submit content for inclusion on LifeScience.TV channels across the UK and USA. This can cover a wide range of topics: news about your research; notices of meetings and seminars; availability of studentships, lectureships and other job vacancies.

Appropriate Content

LifeScience.TV provides a mix of science news and notices interspersed with information about new proudcts and services for life science research. The content repeats on a loop every 15 minutes and contains a maximum of 30% advertising content.

The content is a mixture of still and video images, but there is no sound, so LifeScience.TV will not be intrusive in common rooms, receptions or other areas.

In addition to the scientific content, LifeScience.TV also carries a news ticker provided by BBC News.

Add LifeScience.TV to your NewsStand

LifeScience.TV requires an updated NewsStand (see image, above) that is slightly wider than your existing stand but which offers greater stability and the capability to display catalogues or other heavier items, if required.

A standard 13A power socket is required nearby as well as access to WiFi, wired network or mobile broadband - we can carry out a site survey. Content is uploaded overnight and then displayed on a repeating loop throughout the day, so WiFi bandwidth usage during the day is minimal.

The NewsStand and LIfeScience.TV display are provided free-of-charge on loan.
